Jason Rowe has been named a 2016 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete.

To be eligible for the honor, student-athletes must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.

In total, 222 men's cross country runners were recognized by the NAIA.

Rowe, a junior from Bastrop, earned All-Sooner Athletic Conference honors by finishing 12
th at the SAC meet, posting an 8k time of 26 minutes, 13.86 seconds. He missed qualifying for nationals by a single spot both individually (by two seconds) and as a team.
