At the Jet Invitational hosted by Newman University on Sunday in Wichita, Kan., Markese placed fourth in the heavyweight division. Wrestling in a field of all NCAA D-II schools, including the No. 2, 7 and 20 teams in the country, Markese was the highest finisher for the Pioneers, who as a team placed sixth.
