At the Corky/Crofoot Shootout hosted by Texas Tech, Lara ran the NAIA’s seventh-fastest time of the season, 47.37 seconds, in the 400 meters and also was part of a 4x400 relay that met the “A” national qualifying standard with a time of 3:12.01. Earlier this year Lara helped the Pioneers run a 3:10.00, the fastest time in the NAIA this season.

Lara is a junior from Trinidad & Tobago who transferred from Pratt Community College in Kansas.
