Briana, a junior midfielder from Odessa, helped lead the Pioneer women’s defensive line in three straight shutouts – 1-0 over SAGU and 3-0 over both Southwestern Christian and Oklahoma-Panhandle State – while playing all 270 minutes. WBU limited SCU to three shots (one on-goal) and OPSU to only two shots (one on-goal). The wins secured No. 3 seeds in the upcoming conference tournament.
Briana and the Pioneers (10-4-1, 6-2-1), who are enjoying one of their best seasons ever, have logged six shutouts this season. They’ll host a Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament quarterfinal match on Saturday at Hilliard Field, tentatively at 6 or 7 p.m., against the loser of Tuesday's match between Oklahoma City and Central Christian (Kan.).
