At the prestigous Drake Relays last week, Selene turned in the NAIA's third-fastest time of the season in the 10,000 meters, 35 minutes, 52.65 seconds, which meets the "A" standard for the NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships. It's also the 10th-fastest time in school history. Against a field of 27 runners from mostly NCAA Division I schools including Mississippi, Ohio State, Tulsa, Purdue, Georgia, Illinois, Nebraska and Iowa St., Selene finished in 10th place.
