Tyler, a 6-foot-5 junior pitcher from Show Low, Ariz., led the Pioneers to a 4-3 win in the opening game of a three-game SAC series against Southwestern Christian (Okla.). In 6 2/3 innings, Tyler gave up six hits and only one earned run while striking out three and walking one to improve his record to 5-0. Starting the week, the five wins ranked seventh in the NAIA.
