Alexis shined at the track & field team’s first meet of the outdoor season, the UTEP Springtime Invitational held in El Paso. The junior from Sacramento, Calif., ran the NAIA's fastest time of the season and the fifth-fastest time in the world in the 100, 11.39 seconds. She also ran the second leg of 4x100 relay that turned in the NAIA's fastest time (44.66), which also is the fourth-fastest time in the country this season in all divisions, behind only Texas A&M, LSU and Central Florida. The time shattered the old school record of 45.19 set three years ago. Coach Rohan Thompson: "That's an outstanding time. And Alexis' time in the 100 (is) really fast."
