Sophomore second baseman Will Bass helped the Pioneers to three wins in four home games against a McMurry team sporting a 26-5 record, the best in school history. The Plainview native went 9-for-17 for a .529 average and an .882 slugging percentage. He scored six runs and knocked in six more, including four on a second-inning grand slam that helped his team to a dramatic come-from-behind 10-9 win in the final game of the series. He also had a triple, double and two stolen bases during the series. The wins improved WBU to 30-19 on the season.
