Alden, a 5-foot-10 junior from Wimberley, Texas, recorded 17 total tackles (1½ for loss), a sack and an interception in the Pioneers’ 24-0 win over Texas College, which secured Wayland's first shutout since the program’s restart four years ago. He was voted the CSFL Defensive Player of the Week for the third consecutive game.
