Marquous, a 6-foot-7 junior forward from Brownwood, scored a season-high 13 points to lead Wayland when the No. 12 Pioneers took on Eastern New Mexico last week. He made 6-of-8 from the field and sank his only free throw while also getting three rebounds, two steals and a block. The Pioneers (10-3) return to Sooner Athletic Conference action when they host St. Gregory’s at 8 p.m. Thursday.
