Freshman from Ashton Hall, Barbados, Hinds is the Sooner Athletic Conference track and field player of the week. Hinds turned in the NAIA's fastest time of the season in the 600 meters and set a new school record with a time of 1 minute, 17.95 seconds at the University of New Mexico Collegiate Classic. That broke the old school record held since 2011 by Jarrod Morris by more than a second (1:19.06).
