Robert, a 6-foot-1 senior guard from Austin, led the Pioneers to two impressive wins last week over Southwestern Assemblies of God (108-90 in overtime), ranked the equivalent of 30th in the NAIA, and third-ranked Texas Wesleyan (87-75). He averaged 21½ points, 8.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 56 percent (9-of-16) from the field, including 53 percent (8-of-15) from 3-point range, and 100 percent (17-of-17) from the free-throw line. Against Texas Wesleyan on Senior Day, he made five 3-pointers in the first seven minutes of the game on his way to scoring 19 points in the first half. Coach Ty Harrelson: "That was a little Steph Curry-ish. The kid's been great all season." Against SAGU, the nation's top 3-point shooter unselfishly passed the ball to open teammate Maurice Redmond who hit a game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer to force overtime. Coach Harrelson: "The play was to put the ball in Rob Waters' hands. What makes Rob special is he wants the ball in that situation. He makes the right decision every time... Today he saw the double-team and he made the extra pass, and Mo was ready to catch and shoot."
