Rochene Smith was named Most Valuable Performer of the NAIA Women’s Indoor Track & Field Championships in Johnson City, Tenn., where she scored a meet-high 20 points in helping the Pioneers to their sixth national team title. Smith is the national champion in the 200 meters, running a time of 23.87), and finished second in both the 60 (7.45) and as part of the 4x400 relay team (3:45.28).
