Jonathan pitched the sixth no-hitter in the 25-year history of the WBU baseball program in an 8-1 Sooner Athletic Conference win over Bacone last Saturday in Muskogee, Okla. It was the first nine-inning no-hitter for the Pioneers in 13 years. He struck out three and walked two. Jonathan also picked up a win when the Pioneers defeated Texas-Permian Basin, 8-5, allowing no runs on one hit with one strikeout in 2 2/3 innings. The sophomore from Alpine who transferred from Tompkins Cortland Community College in New York, was named SAC Pitcher of the Week. Coach Brad Bass following the no-hitter: "He threw very well. He was in command of his pitches (fastball, curve and change-up) all day long. I hate to say it was easy, but he really cruised pretty much the whole day. There really were only two reasonably hard-hit balls and there weren't any hard plays."
