Owens, a sophomore from Dallas, is the Sooner Athletic Conference Women's Field Athlete of the Week. She recorded the NAIA's third-best triple jump of the season (11.91 meters, 39 feet, 1 inch) as she finished in second place at the West Texas A&M Classic & Multis. Owens also ran the 100 hurdles and qualified for nationals with a time of 14.92.
