Taylor, a junior from Amarillo, stepped in at second base for last week’s critical Sooner Athletic Conference series at Oklahoma City University. He hit .375 (3-for-8) with two walks, scored three runs, and in the third game sparked a three-run ninth-inning with a two-RBI single. He went 2-for-3 in that contest, which Wayland won, 4-3, to give the Pioneers their first-ever series win in 21 years over the Stars.
