Wayne, a senior from Kingston, Jamaica, broke the school triple jump record with a leap of 52 feet, 6 inches at the Ross Black Open in Hobbs, N.M. The jump broke the previous mark of 51-4 1/4 , held by Myran Roundtree since 2011, by more than a foot and was the best jump in the NAIA this season by more than a foot. Northover sat out last season with an injury and is competing for the first time since 2014 when he was the NAIA national champion outdoors in both the long jump and triple jump.
