Pioneer goalkeeper Joaoa Souza was named Sooner Athletic Conference Defender of the Week for the second straight time. The 6-foot-2 junior from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, has recorded three straight shutouts as the Pioneers blanked Paul Quinn (8-0), previously-unbeaten Southwestern Assemblies of God (7-0) and Texas Wesleyan (2-0). For the week, Souza recorded two saves, both against Texas Wesleyan. He is the first player to earn multiple SAC player of the week honors, either offensively or defensively, this season.
