Competing against mostly NCAA Division I student-athletes at the prestigious Texas Relays, Leon placed third in the triple jump with an effort of 50 feet, 11½ inches (15.53 meters), which is the best mark in the NAIA this season by more than three feet! “Leon beat some good guys. He is a good competitor,” Wayland coach Brian Whitlock said. Leon also owns the NAIA's sixth-best long jump this season. He is the reigning indoor national champion in the triple jump,.
