Paxton, a freshman from Amarillo, hit .444 when the Pioneers hosted Mid-America Christian University in a three-game Sooner Athletic Conference series at Wilder Field. The designated hitter, a graduate of Randall High School, went 4-for-9 for the series, including 2-for-3 in each of the last two games. He also had a .444 slugging percentage, drew one walk and scored one run.
