Rodriguez was named Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week after finishing third and helping Wayland to a third-place team finish at the South Plains College Invitational in Levelland. Rodriguez, a junior from Ozona, finished the 8-kilometer race in 26 minutes, 10 seconds to place third in a field of 79 runners. The Pioneers are ranked the equivalent of 28^th in the NAIA.
