Quintaveon, a junior from Sandersville, Ga., broke the two-decade-old school record in the 400 when he ran a time of 46.27 seconds at the Gorilla Classic in Pittsburg, Kan. Also a new meet record, the time is the NAIA’s fastest of the season. In addition, Quintaveon ran the NAIA’s 10th-fastest time in the 200, 21.72. A week earlier, he was joined by Sanwabiso Skhosana, Demetrius Turner and Tre Hinds in breaking the school 4x400 relay record, 3:09.09. The old record, which is the national meet record, was 3:09.39 set in 2015. The Pioneers are No. 2 in the USTFCCCA rankings.
