Amber, a 5-foot-9 sophomore left-side hitter from Frenship High School, produced two double-doubles as the volleyball team won its Sooner Athletic Conference openers over Mid-America Christian in four and over Science and Arts of Oklahoma in three. Against MACU, Amber – the SAC Freshman of the Year for 2017-18 – recorded 15 kills and 21 digs, then against USAO she tallied 11 kills and 11 digs while hitting .375. She also had two aces and a block-assist for the week.
