Madison, a 5-foot-11 freshman defender from Glenhaven, Australia, helped Wayland to a pair of wins last week, 1-0 at home over Texas Wesleyan and 2-1 on the road against Mid-America Christian. The win over Texas Wesleyan was Wayland’s fifth shutout of the season and third in a row, and was just the Pioneers’ second victory over the Rams in 11 all-time meetings. WBU has allowed just one goal in its last four contests (including one forfeit).
"Madison has been a large part of the back line allowing such a limited number of goals, especially in the last 4-5 games,” WBU coach Shiloh Posey said. “We had her man-mark the forward from Texas Wesleyan and she limited her to only a few shots. She's been voted captain by her teammates as a freshman.”
