Rhonda won all three of her matches as she helped the second-ranked Pioneers to the inaugural NAIA Women’s Duals title and a third-place overall finish at the NWCA Multi-National Duals in Louisville, Ky.
Competing at 109 pounds, Rhonda twice won by tech fall (11-1 and 10-0) and once by pin in defeating wrestlers from Life, Ga., King, Tenn., and Emmanuel, Ga.
“Rhonda has come so far and is only getting better. Her results prove that,” coach Aaron Meister said. “She went 3-0 with all of those wins by pin or tech fall. If we’re going to win the team title, we’ll need wins by way of pin or tech fall.”
Rhonda is ranked third in the NAIA in her weight class and has only one loss on the season.
