Against Langston, J.J. finished with a season-high 35 points on 13-of-16 shooting from the field, including 5-of-7 3-pointers. He also pulled down eight rebounds with three assists, two blocks and a steal. He came up one point shy of matching his career high of 36 points.

Two days later against Central, J.J. ended with a dozen points including two more 3-pointers, seven rebounds, three assists and a block. He wound up the week hitting 58 percent from both the field (18-of-31) and 3-point range (7-of-12).

The 6-foot-4 junior guard from Lubbock was named Sooner Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week for the third time in the past five weeks. He ranks ninth in the NAIA in total scoring (452 points), 17th in points per game (19.6), and 22nd in defensive rebounds per game (6.1).
