Natalie, a freshman from Plainview, competed along with the WBU dance team, the Sapphires, as well as the competitive cheer team at two competitions in Kansas last weekend.
“Natalie came to us as a cheerleader and we turned her into a competitive dancer in three months,” WBU cheer & dance coach Samantha Spieler said. “She’s exceeded my expectations by picking up dance technique quickly and making the necessary corrections to improve her skills. She did an amazing job for her first dance competition, and I can’t wait to see her improvements over the next two weeks for qualifier.”
Next for the cheer and dance teams is the NAIA Southwest Regional Qualifying Group Championship on Feb. 23 in Oklahoma City.
