Hunter, a sophomore from Peoria, Ariz., won both of his matches when the Pioneer wrestling team traveled to Kansas to take on Central Christian College and Cloud County Community College.

Wrestling at 184 pounds, Hunter posted a 16-1 tech fall victory over Mason McCarty (no relation) of Central Christian. "Hunter weathered an aggressive start by Central Christian's McCarty and won several scrambles to eventually get a tech fall," WBU coach Aaron Meister said.

A day later, Hunter secured another dominating 21-2 tech fall win over Micah Sterling of Cloud County, one of the top junior college programs in the country.

Hunter and the Pioneers defeated Central Christian, 46-12, but came up short of Cloud County, 29-19.
