Morgan helped the sixth-ranked Flying Queens (10-2) to a pair of Sooner Athletic Conference road wins against Southwestern Assemblies of God University, 74-55, and Texas Wesleyan, 78-64. A 5-foot-8 senior guard from Shallowater, Morgan averaged 12 points, eight rebounds and five assists in the two games, along with three total steals and a block. Against Texas Wesleyan, she came up one assist shy of a triple-double as she finished with 10 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists. She was 4-of-4 from the free-throw line.
A Second Team NAIA All-American last season, Morgan leads the Queens in scoring at 13.8 ppg and ranks seventh in the NAIA in assist/turnover ratio (3.1) and 18th in assists per game (4.5). With 577 career assists, she is 37 away from breaking the Flying Queens’ record of 613 set by Chris Kennedy from 1979-83.
