Kaleb, competed with the WBU cheer team at the Ottawa Invitational in Ottawa, Kan.
“Kaleb did a great job at his third competition,” said coach Samantha Spieler. “All of his stunts and tumbling hit. I'm glad to have him as a part of our team this season.”
A sophomore from Lubbock, Kaleb also is a member of the Pioneer football team as a defensive back and kicker. This past season, he was the team’s leading scorer, scoring 44 points while booting six field goals and 26-of-28 PATs. He also was the team’s fourth-leading tackler with 31 and tied for the team lead in interceptions with two.
Kaleb earned Sooner Athletic Conference Defensive Player of the Week honors after intercepting two fourth-quarter passes and booting a 33-yard field goal and three PATs in a 24-14 win over Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
