Eric, a sophomore from Saginaw, Texas, helped the eSports team make program history when the Overwatch unit secured the program’s first-ever on-screen, non-forfeit win with a 3-0 victory over Keiser, Fla.

Eric, who last year also played football (offensive lineman) for the Pioneers, serves as Overwatch captain.

“Eric has really stepped up as team captain. He keeps up with the meta game and is constantly thinking of what would be best for the team," eSports coach Duncan Sweeney said.

Joining Eric for the historic win were Carl Walker, Lane, Zachary Neeley, Alex Spencer, Alli Ferguson and John Winn.
