Johnathon, a 125-pound redshirt-freshman from Amarillo and a graduate of Randall High School, placed third at the season-opening York Open in Nebraska, and won his match in Saturday’s home dual against Texas Wesleyan. At York, Ortegon won two of his three matches, first by fall then by major decision. He also pinned his dual opponent.
