Chris Hart was recently named to the Capitol One College Division Academic All-American team. To qualify, student-athletes must be a starter or an important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average on a 4.0 scale.

Hart, a sophomore from Katy, had a 3.49 GPA as an exercise and sport science major. He finished in seventh place in the 141-pound division at nationals to earn NAIA All-American honors. Wayland was ranked in a tie for 16^th place in the postseason poll.
