Despite a slow start and a young roster, the Pioneer volleyball team put together a tremendous year, accumulating a 19-15 record. The Pioneers finished the year third in the SAC and were one victory away from a SAC Championship in tournament play. WBU was led by freshman Shahala Hawkins who was 1st Team All-SAC, AVCA and SAC Freshman of the Year, and an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American.
