SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. --- John Brown University scored two goals in each period on its way to a 4-0 victory over the Wayland women on Saturday afternoon at Alumni Arena. It is the third straight game that the Pioneers have been held scoreless.
The Pioneers managed just four shots in the game, two in each half. Jordan James, Corrina Cardenas and Sarah Castro each had one shot on goal.
WBU goalkeeper Courtney Chambers was barraged with 27 shots, 11 in the first and 16 in the second. The junior made five saves in the opening period and three in the final 45 minutes.
The Wayland women, now 5-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play, return home for two games against SAC opponents on Thursday and Saturday.
