OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. --- The Pioneer women's soccer team fell victim to one of the top teams in the conference on Saturday afternoon with a 4-0 loss at Mid-America Christian University. 
The Lady Evangels scored a single goal in the first period, but came back with three in the second to hand the WBU women their third straight loss.  MACU outshot the Pioneers 26-11, putting ten shots on goal in the final 45 minutes.
Wayland freshman Madison Abbott led the team in shots with three.  The Pioneers forced saves on five of their shots attempted.
The Lady Evangels improve to 10-2-1 on the season and 5-1-1 in SAC play.  The Pioneers, 6-7, 1-5, return home for conference games on Thursday and Saturday at Hilliard Field.  On Thursday, the WBU women will face conference front-runner Southern Nazarene University at 5 p.m., and then Oklahoma City University will be their opponent at 11 a.m. on Saturday.
