Jodian Morris added her name to the short listed here Wednesday afternoon, scoring three of the Pioneers' goals in a 4-1 win at Victor Roberts Field.

Wayland (4-7-1, 4-1-0) has been accustomed to scoring within the first few minutes, even seconds, of a half, and Wednesday proved to be no different.
Two minutes and 16 seconds into the match, Morris picked up the first of three goals, beating the Cavaliers' (2-11-1, 0-6-0) keeper in a one-on-one situation, giving Wayland a 1-0 lead.
Midway through the first half, Morris scored her second goal when
Cerila Zamarripa played the ball from the left side of the field to Morris who shot to the bottom-right corner of the net.
Morris completed the hat trick just 35 seconds into the second period after beating two defenders, creating another one-on-one opportunity. Morris capitalized once more, giving the Pioneers a healthy, 3-0 lead.
With her third goal, Morris, a junior from Spanish Town, Jamaica, joins
Emarie Holland, Kathleen Stewart and Renee Ulloa as the only other Pioneers to score at hat trick.
Jessica Bell, who scored twice in Friday's win over Southwestern Assemblies of God, finished the scoring salvo in the 66
th minute. Although she didn't score WBU's final goal, Morris provided the assist, her fourth of the year.
The Pioneers dominated the offensive end of the pitch, outshooting the Cavaliers, 19-7, which included eight shots on goal.
In her second start of the year,
Kasey Hayes got her second consecutive win, recording three saves without allowing a goal in 63-plus minutes.
Abi Housecroft got the Cavaliers on the board in the 76
th minute, ending the Pioneers' bid for shutout.
Wayland returns to the pitch Saturday when the Pioneers host John Brown (7-4-1, 3-2-0) at noon at J.V. Hilliard Field. The Pioneers have never beaten JBU in nine previous meetings, going 0-7-2.
