Box Score The bad news is the Wayland Baptist women's soccer team still hasn't beaten John Brown University. The good news is the Pioneers didn't absorb another loss.
Wayland and the Golden Eagles played to a 0-0 double-overtime tie in Sooner Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon at J.V. Hilliard Field.
In the only conference match of the day, John Brown (7-4-2 overall, 3-2-1 SAC) got off 11 shots, two more than Wayland (4-7-2, 4-1-1), but both teams had four on goal as Pioneer goalkeeper

Wayland now is 0-7-3 all-time against John Brown. The teams have battled to three ties in their last four outings, including last season in the semifinals of the SAC Tournament when the Golden Eagles prevailed 4-3 after a shootout. WBU and JBU also fought to a 0-0 double-OT deadlock in 2012.
The Pioneers play their next two matches on the road, at 5 p.m. Tuesday in Fort Worth against Texas Wesleyan (7-4, 3-2) then Saturday afternoon, Oct. 25 in Shawnee against league-leading Oklahoma Baptist (10-4, 5-1).
Wayland is a half-game behind OBU in the SAC standings, which have Science and Arts of Oklahoma at 4-1, essentially tied with the Pioneers for second.
