Box Score Less than 24 hours after winning their home-opener over Barclay College, the Wayland Baptist Pioneer basketball team notched another win of the Bears…this time even more convincingly.
Plamen Hristov hit five 3-pointers – all in the first half – to lead No. 21 Wayland to a 96-44 victory over Barclay (Kan.) on Saturday afternoon in Hutcherson Center.
The win followed Wayland's 100-71 victory on Friday night in which Wayland led by just 10 at halftime. On Saturday, the Pioneers were up at intermission by 21, 48-27.
WBU (3-0) nailed eight of its 12 3-pointers in the first half.
Hristov's 15 points paced Wayland. 
Bunja Yaboe added 12 points and 
Robert Waters 10. Thirteen Pioneers scored in the game that saw Wayland score 48 points in each half. The Bears scored hit 17 points in the final 20 minutes.
No other statistics were immediately available.
The Pioneers are next in action Friday, Nov. 14 in Edinburg against Texas-Pan American. Their next home game is Nov. 18 against West Texas A&M.
