Santa Claus himself will make an appearance Saturday afternoon at Hutcherson Center as part of the day's "Pack the Hutch" festivities.

Santa will arrive at approximately 3:15 p.m. and greet fans on the court in between games. The Flying Queens and 21
st-ranked Pioneers host Sul Ross State at 2 and 4 p.m., respectively.

Santa then will be available for photos for a brief time in the lobby of the Hutch.

"Pack the Hutch" will feature giveaways and special contests for fans. Holiday music will be played much of the afternoon. Also, fans are invited to wear their favorite ugly Christmas sweater for a chance to win a special prize.

One fan will have a chance to win $800 in groceries, courtesy of United Supermarkets, during the halftime shot contest.

Admission to the games, which is $4 for adults or $2 for students, will be donated to Faith In Sharing House, the local food pantry. WBU students and faculty are admitted free, but are encouraged to donate to FISH. Non-perishable food items also will be accepted.

Plainview and area communities, as well as local and area students, are especially invited.

Saturday's games are the final home contests of 2016 for Wayland.
