More games affected by COVID-19

Three more Wayland Baptist games – involving three different programs – have been cancelled due to COVID-19 issues.

Wayland's women's soccer and volleyball games on Friday and men's basketball game on Saturday – all against the University of Science & Arts of Oklahoma – have been cancelled.

The men's basketball and volleyball games were affected by COVID issues with those teams at USAO, while the women's soccer game was affected by COVID issues at WBU.

The Pioneer men's basketball team also had its game tonight at Mid-America Christian cancelled due to COVID issues at MACU.

The WBU women's soccer team, which saw four of its six fall season matches cancelled due to weather or COVID-19, is not scheduled to play again until the spring. The Pioneers won both of the games they played against Arizona Christian and Oklahoma-Panhandle State.

Both the women's basketball games at MACU and USAO and the men's soccer match against USAO are still on, with the men's soccer game in Chickasha moved up to a 6 p.m. start Friday. The Flying Queens play MACU at 6 tonight and USAO at 2 p.m. Saturday.

In another schedule change, the JV men's soccer match against the Lubbock Knights, originally scheduled for last week but postponed due to weather, has been rescheduled for 7 p.m. Monday at Hilliard Field.
