The Wayland Baptist men's basketball team's games against Arizona Christian and Park University Gilbert have been cancelled due to COVID-19 issues surrounding the Pioneers.
The Pioneers' regular-scheduled games at second-ranked Mid-America Christian and Science & Arts of Oklahoma this weekend were cancelled due to COVID-19 concerns at those schools. As a result, the Pioneers scheduled games against Park Gilbert on Sunday and No. 9 Arizona Christian on Monday, both in Glendale, Ariz.
But both of those games were cancelled, before the Pioneers got on the road for Arizona on Saturday morning.
In total, the Pioneers have had eight games this fall cancelled due to COVID-19 issues. The team has played one game this season, defeating Arlington Baptist, 96-52, in its season-opener on Oct. 30.
