Final fall football game vs. TXWES cancelled

The Wayland Baptist football team's final game of the fall against Texas Wesleyan on Saturday in Fort Worth has been cancelled due to issues related to COVID-19.

The Pioneers finish the fall with a 1-1 record, having lost Oct. 17 at Arizona Christian, 31-28 in overtime, before defeating Oklahoma-Panhandle State on Oct. 31 in Plainview, 29-24.

Wayland's schedule will resume in the spring with a six-game slate against Sooner Athletic Conference opponents, starting Feb. 20 at OPSU.
