Box Score McPHERSON, Kan. – Wayland Baptist had more than twice as many shots as Central Christian, but the Pioneers couldn't connect on any as they fell to the Tigers in Sooner Athletic Conference play here Friday afternoon, 2-0.
Wayland (3-4, 1-4) ended with 15 shots, six by
Fortune Kede who managed two on-target.
Audilia Vargas came off the bench to offer four shots, one on the mark. Others with on-goal shots were
Bianca Roman,
Vitoria Balieiro and
Lucy Chavez.
The Tigers (7-6, 2-3) took only six shots, connecting on two of them in the sixth and 40
th minutes.

After opening the season with three wins, Wayland has dropped four in a row. The Pioneers will try to snap that streak Tuesday when they take on Texas Wesleyan (2-2, 2-2). That match, set for 4 p.m., has been moved to Lubbock Christian University due to issues at WBU's Hilliard Field.
