Quentin Coleman went for 25 points, 
Tahjae Hill added 12 points, and 
Brett Leach scored 10 points as the Pioneers got a huge Sooner Athletic Conference road win over the RV University of Sciences and Arts of Oklahoma (9-3, 4-2 SAC).
 
23rd ranked Wayland Baptist (9-3, 4-2 SAC) was in an early battle with the Drovers leading 12-11 with just under 13 minutes remaining in the half. 
Quentin Coleman, playing in his first game of the season for the Pioneers, hit a 3-pointer to spark an 8-0 Pioneer run to give WBU a 20-11 lead with 11 minutes remaining in the half. A big 3-pointer by Hill and layup by 
Linton Brown, and an and-one by Coleman gave the Pioneers a 41-35 lead heading into the halftime break.
 
The Pioneers found down to the Drovers 55-54 with just over eleven minutes left in regulation, but a successful layup by 
D'Michael Bellfield and four free throws by Coleman gave the Pioneers a 60-56 lead with ten minutes to go in regulation. The Pioneers led 67-65 with five minutes remaining after a tough 3-pointer by the Drovers, but 
Bol Tong scored 6 huge points off the bench for WBU to give them a 73-70 lead down the stretch. The spark off the bench by Coleman, Hill, and 
Bol Tong lifted the Pioneers to a tough 86-77 road victory to get their spring semester underway on the right note.
