Plainview --- The Pioneers scored 10 runs on 12 hits to secure a 10-5 game one win over OPSU, but the Aggies answered back for a 6-0 win in game two to earn a split of this four-game series.

GAME ONE
Â
The Aggies jumped ahead in the top of the 1
st after scoring two runs on three hits, but the Pioneers answered back with a run in their half of the first after a sacrifice fly from
Brooklyn Araujo that made it 2-1, Aggies.
Â
OPSU added another run in the top of the 2
nd that gave them a two-run advantage, but the Pioneers would answer back in the bottom of the 2
nd in a big way.
Kailee Sanchez tied the game for the Pioneers after reaching base via an Aggie error, scoring
Berkley Bradley and
Christian Moyers to make it 3-3.
Arianna Zubia would later drive Sanchez in with a sacrifice fly that gave the Pioneers a 4-3 lead.

The Pioneers added onto their lead in the bottom of the 3
rd with three more runs – starting with an
Amber Poorbaugh RBI single that gave them a 5-3 lead.
Kailee Sanchez added two more runs for the Pioneers after a two-run single made it 7-3 after three innings of play.

Mikayla Carrillo tacked on another run for the Pioneers in the bottom of the 4
th after smashing a solo shot to left – her 3
rd home run of the season – to make it 8-3, WBU. Moyers later smoked an RBI triple that to increase the Pioneer lead to 9-3 heading to the 5
th inning.

The Aggies added two more runs in the top of the 5
th, but the Pioneers canceled that run out in the bottom of the 6
th after an RBI single from
Brooklyn Araujo made it 10-5. The Pioneers closed out the Aggies in the top of the 7
th to secure the 10-5 win in game one.

Kailee Sanchez finished 2 for 3 with four RBIs. Poorbaugh went 3 for 4 with a double, an RBI, and two runs scored. Carrillo went 2 for 3 with a home run, a stolen base, and two runs scored. Araujo finished 1 for 2 with two RBIs and a run scored.

GAME TWO
Â
The Pioneer offense was held in check for the entirety of game two – outside of one hit being a third inning triple from
Cayman Ivins. The Aggies were able to score runs in the first, third, and seventh innings to secure the 6-0 win over the Pioneers in game two. With the Aggies winning the series finale, the Pioneers earned a split of this four-game set.

The Pioneers will travel north to McPherson, Kansas for a four-game road series against the Tigers of Central Christian College. The two teams will play a pair of doubleheaders on both Friday, April 4
th and Saturday, April 5
th. Game one of Friday's doubleheader is set to begin at 2:00 PM.
