Parents/Guardians: Jim and Liza Matchett
2011-12 at WBU: Finished 3rd at the Battle at Primm, posting an overall score of 150…finished in the top 20 at the Sooner Athletic Conference Tournament…finished 29th at the NAIA Women’s Championship, helping the team finish in the top 10
High School: Lettered in soccer and hockey at Miarmichi Valley High School... stroke average was 73 as a senior
Why did you choose to come to Wayland? I came to Wayland so I could play on the golf team and improve my game.
How did you get started playing golf and how old were you? I started playing golf when I was 7 years old; my father and brother got me started.
What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? My proudest athletic achievement to date has been winning back to back golf provincials in New Brunswick.
What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? I feel like I bring humor to the team on a personal level, and on an athletic level, I bring hard work.
What are your goals for the future after college? I plan to teach school and hopefully teach golf lessons at my course.
