Why did you choose to come to Wayland and represent the Pioneers? I came to Wayland because I wanted to prove to myself and to everyone that I could make it in college.

How did you get started swimming and how old were you? I started swimming the end of my junior year of high school. My friends persuaded me to join the team and I found that I love the sport.

What do you feel like you bring to your team, both athletically and personally? Even though I lack experience, I still feel that with my coach’s help I can become the swimmer she thinks I can be.

What are your goals for the future after college? I want to become an engineer.
