Biography

Parents/Guardians: Brenda Downs and Tim Downs

2012 at WBU: Threw two complete games…recorded one save…struck out 28 batters in 35.2 innings pitched.

Prior to WBU: Attended Kanas State University in 2009-10…played at Central Arizona College in 2011.

High School: Lettered in baseball four years at Mesa HS…all-state, all-district and all-region junior year…all-district and all-region senior year.

Why did you choose to come to Wayland? To play baseball and get my BA.

How did you get started playing baseball and how old were you? My dad got me into baseball at age four.

What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Making all-state in high school and being asked to play in the Area Codes that summer.

What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? Hard work, a good teammate and a great attitude.

What are your goals for the future after college? Get a good job with my degree and hopefully go pro.
