Parents/Guardians: Andy and Letty Buitron

2013 at WBU: Hit a career-high .314 while starting in 35 games for the Pioneers…hit his first career home run against Avila on Feb. 23…recorded a career-high three hits against Mid-America Christian on Mar. 23

2012 at WBU: Started in 33 games at third base and short-stop…recorded first career hit against USW on Jan. 27.

High School: Lettered in baseball three years at Hanna HS…member of 2009 District 32-5A championship team…1st team all-district in 2009…2nd team all-district, all-metro team, RGB All-Star Game in 2010.

Why did you choose to come to Wayland? They have a good baseball program and it’s a great school.

How did you get started playing baseball and how old were you? I started playing baseball with my dad when I was about five years old.

What has been your proudest athletic achievement to date? Going to the 2011 Palomino World Series.

What do you feel like you bring your team, both athletically and personally? I bring a great attitude and a positive outlook.

What are your goals for the future after college? To go as far as I can in my career.
